Pros of buying a Panasonic TH-42PX20 Plasma TV:1. Excellent picture quality: Plasma technology is known for its ability to produce deep blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp details, which makes the TH-42PX20 an excellent choice for watching movies and sports.
2. Wide viewing angles: Plasma TVs have a wider viewing angle than LCD and LED TVs, which means that the picture quality remains consistent even when viewed from different angles.
3. Energy-efficient: Plasma TVs consume less power than LCD and LED TVs with similar screen sizes, making them a more energy-efficient option.
4. Long lifespan: Plasma TVs have a longer lifespan than LCD and LED TVs, as they do not have the same issues with burn-in and image retention.
Cons of buying a Panasonic TH-42PX20 Plasma TV:1. Weight and size: Plasma TVs are heavier and bulkier than LCD and LED TVs with similar screen sizes, which can make them difficult to move and mount.
2. Energy consumption: While plasma TVs are more energy-efficient than LCD and LED TVs with similar screen sizes, they still consume more power than newer energy-efficient models.
3. Limited availability: Due to the decline in plasma TV sales, it can be difficult to find replacement parts and support for the TH-42PX20 in the future.
Conclusion:The Panasonic TH-42PX20 Plasma TV is an excellent choice for those who prioritize picture quality, wide viewing angles, and energy efficiency. However, its weight and size, as well as its limited availability, should be considered before making a purchase.
Recommendation:If you are looking for a high-quality TV with excellent picture quality and wide viewing angles, the Panasonic TH-42PX20 Plasma TV is a great option. However, if you are looking for a more modern and energy-efficient TV, you may want to consider an LCD or LED TV with similar screen size and features. Ultimately, the best TV for you depends on your specific needs and preferences.
Included is the power cord. There are 2 sets of component inputs, 2 video and 1 video inputs on the back.
On the front, there are 1 add'video inputs, PC card and SD card inputs plus 1 PC input sub 15 pin. The body has very minor scuffs if any for its age. This is a 12 year old monitor.
The remote has long since died and the owners manual is online. Total weight for tv and base is pounds.
I gave around for it in 2003 and it's barely used. It's foam lined and could be altered to fit any 42 or smaller. The picture quality looks as good as the day I bought it with no pixels out, no detectable burn in. The glass is like new.
I'd still be using this tv except the 1 and only HDMI input is not functioning. This tv was never mounted and has a very heavy base included.
