I had the misfortune of having my Sony XR-77a0CJ get hit with dreaded 4 red blinking light issue. I opened it, tried it once, still had the red blinking lights and put back in box. I asked if he thought replacing the main board would work and said it was 50/50. The repair guy tried replacing the power board it was under extended warranty and it didn't work.
